John has been playing with Americanistan off and on (mostly on)
since the beginning. Besides playing flute, bamboo flute, pennywhistle, and djembe with the band, John invents his own instruments,
i.e. the yuemba, a cross between a birembau, rebab and bells, and has built his own trap drum set completely out of wood.
