Anna Armaiti has
been singing songs of the Balkans, Middle East and Western Asia since she was fourteen. She also plays tar, dumbek,
ashiko, doira, dvoyanka, naal, dhol, saz, and chimtas.
In addition to a wealth of musical knowledge and talent, Anna brings to the band a wonderfully
pure spirit and boundless enthusiasm for the music.
Her internet and other researches have been invaluable in adding to our repertoire of music from
Afghanistan, Greece, and the Rom peoples.
Anna is taking a break from the band during spring and summer of 2007 to pursue some of the spiritual
aspects of her Native American heritage.
